01Delete your account from inside the app
- Open the iScore app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu.
- Tap Delete account (shown in red, with a trash icon, directly below “Sign out”).
- In the confirmation screen, type
DELETEinto the text field. - Tap the Delete account button.
You'll be signed out straight away. Your account and data are deleted at that moment — there is no delay, no recovery window, and no way to undo it.
02What gets deleted, and what doesn't
Deleting your account is a full, immediate erasure — not a soft close or a delayed cleanup:
- Deleted immediately and permanently: your profile, login credentials, round history, hole-by-hole scores, handicap data, digital signatures, and any competitions you've entered.
- Not affected: data belonging to other golfers. For example, if you marked someone else's scorecard, their round stays in their own history — your name is simply removed from it. Deleting your account never removes another golfer's data.
This is different from our general data retention rules for accounts that stay open (round data is normally kept for up to 2 years for handicap record-keeping — see our Privacy Policy). Choosing to delete your account overrides that: everything of yours is erased outright, right away.
03Can't get into the app?
If you can't access the app to delete your account yourself — a lost device, a forgotten password, or anything else — email us at info@iscore.ie from the address on your account and ask us to delete it for you. We'll confirm your identity and process the request within one month.
